No — it works alongside one. The CollegeR handles the day-to-day plan, deadlines, essays, and financial tracking that a counselor can't monitor every week. Think of it as the always-on co-pilot; your counselor stays the human authority for school-specific letters and guidance.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. The free tier never costs anything, and paid plans (Navigator and Professional) cancel with one click — no phone call, no penalty. You keep access through the end of your billing period, then drop back to free.
